AO for former CASG chief Kim Gillis

The former head of Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), Mr Kim Gillis, was created an AO in the 2020 Australia Day Honours. The honour cognises his service to public administration and defence projects; during a long career Mr Gillis, who retired in 2019, worked for Australian Customs, then for Austal in WA, as Deputy CEO at the former DMO and then as CEO of Boeing Defence Australia before returning to Canberra to become Deputy Secretary and head of CASG.
