Austrade to help Australians enter UK DASA Counter-IED Competition

Australian Army protected mobility vehicles including the Thales Bushmaster and Hawkei undertake the Protected Mobility Integration and Capability Assurance (PMICA) program which aims to ensure key systems are effectively integrated on Army’s protected mobility vehicles.

The UK’s Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA), is running a competition on behalf of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) to develop novel ECM-based Counter-IED technologies and techniques.

The competition is called Invisible Shield, and will see some £3 million spent across three phases; the full competition document will be available on the DASA website in April – all proposals must be submitted via the DASA submission service for which potential bidders will need to register.

DASA and DSTL will hold a launch event and industry briefing in London on 29 April; register to attend the launch event on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/invisible-shield-launch-event-tickets-98371492783.

Corona virus notwithstanding, Austrade is keen to help Australian firms that wish to register – contact them via the Defence Science Institute HERE.
