DIN launches Seed Project Leverage Scheme
The Sydney-based Defence Innovation Network (DIN) has launched its Seed Project Leverage scheme which provides up to a $50,000 top-up for R&D projects led by NSW-based small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in collaboration with NSW universities successful in the Defence Industry Competitive Evaluation Research Agreement (ICERA) Initiative.
The Deadline for proposals is 27 November 2020.
DST’s ICERA Initiative is calling for industry-led R&D applications scoped around the Next Generation Technologies Fundthemes. Up to $300K will be available for successful innovative small-to-medium enterprises.
In response to this call, the DIN has established the Seed Project Leverage Scheme (SPL) that will allow SMEs to co-develop innovative technologies together with NSW universities.
DIN’s Seed Project Leverage Scheme will provide up to $50K per project to match $50K industry cash contributions on a competitive basis. An additional $50K may be sourced from AusIndustry’s Innovation Connections program, subject to eligibility criteria imposed by Innovation Connections.
The SPL scheme is funded by the NSW Government with the objective to grow the State’s defence industry capability through building collaborations between NSW-based SMEs and DIN universities.
To be eligible for DIN Seed Project Leverage funding, projects must be led by NSW-based small-to-medium enterprises in collaboration with DIN universities and be successful in ICERA call.
Both DIN funding and Industry cash contribution must be used to conduct R&D activities at the partner university.
The project must not interfere with contracting, any deliverables or the completion of a project funded through ICERA.
