Australian satellite manufacturing a focus at 12th Australian Space Forum
Australia’s satellite manufacturing activities will be a key focus at the 12th Australian Space Forum, to be held in Adelaide on Wednesday, 15 September 2021.
Supported by the Australian Space Agency, the South Australian Space Industry Centre and SmartSat CRC, this edition will be an opportunity to stimulate ideas, share information about emerging technologies and network with space sector leaders and the broader community.
Participants will be able to attend in-person at the Adelaide Convention Centre in South Australia, or virtually through the event’s global interactive platform.
A panel of global satellite experts will discuss Australia’s manufacturing activities at the forum as they delve into the world satellite manufacturing sector, worth an estimated US$20 billon per year, and explore Australia’s capability.
Facilitated by SmartSat CRC’s Peter Nikoloff, the session will feature a keynote presentation by Professor Sir Martin Sweeting, Executive Chairman of Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, and Chairman/Distinguished Professor at Surrey Space Centre, University of Surrey (UK).
