BAE Systems announces leadership change in Adelaide
BAE Systems has announced that the current CEO of BAE Systems Australia, Ms Gabby Costigan MBE, will be promoted and transfer to the UK during the second quarter of 2022. She will be replaced by the company’s Chief Technology Officer and former Rheinmetall vehicle systems chief Ben Hudson. Both are former Australian Army officers.
Australian online journal AU Manufacturing has speculated that the move may be related to Australia’s plan to acquire nuclear-powered submarines and manufacture them (in part, at least) at the yard immediately adjacent to the BAE Systems-owned yard in Osborne, SA, that is building the RAN’s HUNTER-class frigates.
