Call for EOI’s in Maritime EW

The Australian Department of Defence has re-opened its Request for Information (RFI) seeking to understand the sovereign industry capacity and maturity that is available to support delivery of the Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare Program. Although an initial RFI released late last year had a good response the stated criteria may have precluded or deterred responses from some organisations with capability in this area, especially SMEs without an existing security clearance, and publicly funded research organisations likewise currently lacking this accreditation or others who may have thought that the scope of the technology was not in their realm.

Electronic warfare covers a broad range of R&D areas and as such the Commonwealth is interested in exploring and connecting with others who may not currently comply with the original RFI’s participation criteria. To this end it is seeking expressions of interest from researchers and SMEs whose technical competences they believe align with Defence’s needs. These include enabling technologies such as antenna design, signal processing, integrated circuit design and manufacture, signature management and decoy technologies and counter-EMS technologies – scope summary available here: Scope Summary.

Please send your Expression of Interest (EOI) to: info@defenceinnovationnetwork.com
