DEADLINE ALERT: Space Payload Qualification Facilities Grant

The Australian Government is offering up to $2.5 million in funding to build space payload qualification capability and capacity in Australia. The closing date for applications is 23 December.

The Space Payload Qualification Facilities grant provides an Australian company or research institution with $2.5 million for the development of space payload qualification facilities to meet the needs of the Australian space industry.

The Defence Science Institute advises that the objectives of the grant opportunity are to:

• increase space qualification capability and capacity in Australia
• improve the availability and coordination of space payload qualification in Australia
• increase accreditation and international recognition of space payload qualification in Australia
• meet the needs of the emerging space sector into the future.
