DIN UNSW Virtual Industry Forum: High-speed Sensors, Effectors & Directed Energy
The Sydney-based Defence Innovation Network (DIN) and the University of New South Wales will hold a Virtual Industry Forum on 23 October focussed High-Speed Sensors, Effectors and Directed Energy. It will be an online event, from 11.30-13.30
This event will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the Defence’s research needs and for industry and academia to present their innovations to a panel of experts in response to specific R&D areas of interest. Participants will also have a chance to interact with a number of representatives from DST, the RAN, RAAF and Australian Army.
Areas of interest:
Novel detectors, high-speed threat sensing, and ISR technologies, including new methods of pulling signal from noise
Non-lethal effectors
Disruptive technologies including directed energy, high energy lasers, high powered radio frequency sources and high-speed systems
Interested in Pitching? If you are a researcher from one of the DIN member universities and would like to give a short 7-minute pitch in these areas of interest, please register your interest by COB, 6 October 2020.
