Department of Industry invites feedback on R&D Tax Incentive
The Commonwealth Department of Industry, Science, Education and Resources (DISER) is calling for industry feedback to help improve the legislation behind the government’s Research and Development Tax Incentive (RDTI). Submissions close 9 September 2021.
The RDTI encourages Australian companies of all sizes and sectors to invest in R&D. It is the government’s key mechanism to stimulate innovation. Legislation behind the tax incentive is scheduled to sunset on 1 April 2022. The department is reviewing the legislation and proposing to remake it with amendments.
