Thomas Global Systems unveils MRACS next generation modular armoured vehicle computing system

Sydney-based Thomas Global Systems has expanded its sovereign armoured vehicle systems capability with the release of Australia’s first C2ISR Modular Reconfigurable Armoured Vehicle Computing System, MRACS. MRACS has been selected for an Australian military vehicle program, with deliveries commencing in June 2021.

Utilising proprietary reconfigurable computing architecture, MRACS provides military vehicle OEMs and end-users with a highly modular, next generation ruggedised tactical computing and display system that can be rapidly customised to suit program requirements. These applications include Ruggedised Vehicle Displays, GVA Displays, Vehicle Mounted Computers, and Distributed and Central Vehicle Servers.

Angus Hutchinson, CEO of Thomas Global Systems said “We are very pleased to have MRACS selected for an Australian land vehicle program, reinforcing our position as a trusted supplier of innovative, high integrity armoured vehicle electronics.”

Thomas Global is identified in the Australian Government’s Land Combat and Protected Vehicles Sovereign Industry Capability Priority Plan as having an existing sovereign capability for the supply of Armoured Vehicle Systems. MRACS extends the Company’s sovereign armoured vehicle capabilities and provides further export opportunities. The Company currently supplies armoured vehicle electronics to a range of Australian, US and other international customers.
